Bead, Weave, and Read: Crafting Stories, Weaving Histories

Join us in a unique monthly workshop series that combines the art of crafting with the joy of reading. "Bead, Weave, and Read" invites you to immerse yourself in the rich traditions of beadwork, basketry, cloth weaving, ribbon-skirt and ribbon-shirt making, and leatherworking. Each session intertwines these hands-on activities with enlightening discussions based on readings from renowned Indigenous women and Two-Spirit authors.

Open to all skill levels and backgrounds, this series is an invitation to explore, create, and connect. Come craft, read, and discover with us at the Indigenous Futures Lab in Susquehanna 4105.
